Why is Proposition 8 even on the ballot? The official ballot label says it "eliminates the rights of same-sex couples to marry," which is exactly what it would do. However, if you are on the religious right it is the "California Marriage Protection Act," which will preserve the sanctity of marriage.

Three members of SGA were sent home early from the ASGA National Student Government Summit, held in Washington, D.C., for consuming alcohol.

As a result, the three members - Vice President Karl Estill, 24; Legislative Liaison Belen Ortiz, 20; and Treasurer Omead Poure, 19 - were each removed from office.

Los Angeles Harbor College presents "the Lively Art," A collection of contemporary scenes performed by students from the beginning acting play production classes.

It will be directed by Larry Heimgartner, Debbie Thureson and Juan Baez.

The show runs in the Arena Theatre located on campus at 1111 Figueroa Place in Wilmington for three evenings in October.
